The Wumpa Islands are the setting and an archipelago located in the south-east of Australia, near Tasmania in the PlayStation platformer franchise known as Crash Bandicoot.There are a total of three individual islands that make up the archipelago. The first island which is called N.Sanity beach(also referred to as North Sanity Island or Jungle Island), is the home of the main protagonist, Crash Bandicoot.The island is made up off one large mountain with a skull shaped opening in which water comes out of its mouth to create a waterfall. The island was wildely inhabited by native tribesmen led by Papu Papu, but after the overthrow of Cortex they began to grow scarce.
